In the arid landscape you will find the official Center of the World, a dot inside the pink pyramid which was erected at the spot of the world's 'heart'. Visitor's are encouraged to toe The Spot as it is called by town officials and are given a signed certificate marking your time here. After the ceremonial center, next in line is the Granite Museum. Discover the world's history etched in these granite walls. A 25 feet (7.62 meters) curved staircase from the Eiffel Tower and a sculpture of Michelangelo's Arm of God acting as a sundial are some of the other fascinating sites in this place. If you happen to be on the road towards the California Desert during Thanksgiving to Easter, then a visit to this quirky town will definitely add some fun in your journey.
