The Yakima Valley SunDome is host to a plethora of events, from Basketball to Rodeo. A few hours outside Seattle, you will find this multi-purpose facility. The seating here is very accessible and comfortable, making it a great for viewing concerts and shows held here. This 6195 seater multi purpose arena has played host to a number of performances and sporting events over the years and also the WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington 1B, 1A, and 2A High School Basketball State Tournaments annually.
The Yakima Area Arboretum is a 46-acre living museum and botanical garden that was created "to cultivate a greater knowledge and appreciation of native and adaptive plants in an atmosphere of beauty, inspiration, and relaxation." Its interpretive center houses the Wilma Belfield Walker Horticultural Library, Yakima Valley's only horticultural library. The Jewett Center features two meeting rooms.

Douglas.
Three blocks from the Yakima Valley Museum, this late Victorian farmhouse was built by Horace M. Gilbert and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Furnished with period Victorian antiques, this home is a perfect example of life on an orchard in Yakima in the early 20th century. The house is managed and open for tours by the Friends of Gilbert Homeplace.

Wineglass Cellars is a winery that celebrates the fun of drinking wine. Owned by David Lowe and his wife Linda Lowe, with their son Jeff, this family run affair is quite an experience. The winery hosts a number of regular wine events and shows. They have even won a few award for their wines. If you're really interested, you can even join their wine clubs to be a part of the celebration. Sheridan Vineyard have two branches, one in Woodinville, while the other in Zillah. Both play the same role and that is selling quality wines to its customers. It all started in 1996 for the owner, Scott, who with a small beginning has today become a pioneer in the wine business in Zillah.
Maison de Padgett Winery is one of the most beautiful wineries in Washington. The winery was opened in 2003 by Lisa and David Padgett. Tuscany architecture provides a unique setting to enjoy the fruits of the vineyard. There are beautiful gardens and a gorgeous patio where you can enjoy a Risqué Chardonnay, a Singing Toad, a Merlot Reserve, a Dry Muscat, a Fat Sow Red Wine or a Funky Monkey Ice Wine. It's a great place to enjoy some of these fabulous brands around. The labels of the bottles are colorful and vibrant, which allows you to simply enjoy the wine like you should rather than taking it too seriously. But don't be mistaken and take their rather lighthearted approach to wine, because they even have a gold medal winner in their collection. The Portteus Vineyards & Winery is a much-sought after vineyard that spans across over 70 vineyard acres. Started by Paul Portteus, the facility produces quality wine brands such as Syrah, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and more. Paul and his wife started the vineyard in 1982, and today it's one of the best in the country and have even won awards for their achievements.
