The Trinity Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy is a community that is contributing towards the betterment of its people. Established in 1896, the building of the church is said to be one of the oldest granite structure. The church uses the Book of Common Prayer to connect to god. After the reconstruction, the building has a new parish hall. Also there is space for Sunday school classes and meetings.
This historic church is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1850, it was decided that the structure will be relocated a few feet away, at its current site. The church goes beyond the world of religion and believes in helping the community. Apart from that, the Presbyterian Church also offers religious classes that cater to different age-groups. The Emory and Henry College is a private college that is built upon 331 acres of land. Known as the oldest institute in the Southwest Virginia, the college believed in increasing in excellence and to be a community that fulfills the potential of every student. The college every year conducts almost 100 concerts, lectures, theaters, dance performance, films, etc. It also offers hikes, camping, etc. with trails.
