Individual and group skating lessons for various skill levels and interests are provided by this skating club, as well as recreational ice skating.
Triad Park, located to the west of Greensboro, spans 426 acres (172.40 hectares) of meadows and woods. Visitors can enjoy the horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, softball field and soccer fields for a small fee, or they can choose to tackle one of the many hiking trails in the park. The catch-and-release fishing pond is stocked with small fish. Reservations for picnic shelters and Woodland Hall should be made well in advance. The park is open from 7a daily, and closes at different times depending on the season.
This soccer complex features eight soccer fields, a field house, and a concession stand.

Designed by Pete Dye, this 18 hole, par 72 golf course has undulating greens, pot bunkers, railroad ties, an island tee, and several peninsula greens. There is a fully stocked pro shop on-site.

Moratock Park is a historic public park. A highlight is the iron furnace built during the Civil War that was used to prepare iron bars on the banks of the Dan River. This park consists of beautiful views of the river, a shelter to spend a day, and restrooms are available too. The river is open for sailing and rafting. In addition, this site is a perfect venue for meetings and events as well as receptions.
Named after former Creensboro City Councilmen Vic Higgins when it opened back 1956, the lake itself is a 226-acre municipal reservoir. Fishing is allowed from a boat or pier, as is kayaking and canoeing. Don't worry if you don't have your own boat, kayak or canoe, because you can rent any of these from the park for pretty cheap.
The Hanging Rock State Park is a state park in North Carolina, notable for its monadnock cliff formations. The Pilot Mountain in the park, looks like an isolated, unconnected mountain or ridge and makes for some striking scenery. The steep rock face of the mountains also gives rise to a number of waterfalls, presenting one with swimming and fishing opportunities. Visitors can also rent cabins at the park.
