This world-class amphitheater features an outdoor setting, reserved seating for 1,500, and lawn seating for an additional 2,500. This art center is operated by Celebrate Windsor, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the performing arts to Windsor and the Greater Hartford community.
The Simsbury Performing Arts Center has a long line-up of cultural events that place, and the events keep changing regularly to keep things fresh and exciting. This historical courthouse that serves as a city hall, an auditorium and a government office is the Eno Memorial Hall. Renowned as a local landmark, the rooms in this hall is reserved as classes and various other events. Built in 1839, the Simsbury Townhouse was the city townhouse for almost a century. Commonly called Boy Scout Hall, this Greek Revival landmark is rented out to local organizations for private events. With maxing standing capacity of 177, it is the venue for several fitness classes and community events.
Chase Family Arena is known for hosting many basketball tournaments, championships and other regular fixtures. This multi-purpose arena opened in 1990 and is home to the Hartford Hawks basketball teams. The arena is well facilitated with comfortable seats, locker rooms and so on. Audio Media Solutions is more than just a recording studio. AMS provides high quality service, equipment, and music entertainment as well as recording and sound engineering and event booking and production. The studio is a 80 by 20-foot (25 by 6-meter) room with 16-foot (five-meter) ceilings in a 200-year-old textile mill. AMS's in-house DJs are owner and founder Mike Tierney and Erin (DJ Party Girl).
The XL Center, formerly known as the Hartford Civic Center, is a sports and convention complex. It was opened in 1975 and has been renovated several times over the past four decades. It houses an exhibition hall which is used for trade shows, conventions, banquets, craft shows, meetings and other events. It has held many notable concerts of Van Halen, U2, Coldplay, Luciano Pavarotti, Madonna, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson and more. The XL Center also hosts some of the larger crowd UConn men's and women's basketball games, and is also home to the Connecticut Whale (American Hockey League).
City Steam Brewery Café is a spectacular seven-level restaurant in the historic Richardson Building with the Marriott Residence Inn. The 15-barrel brew house allows brewmaster Ron Page to handcraft up to 12 styles of ales and lagers. The moderately priced classic brew house menu has new world touches that provide for everyone's tastes. Award winning Brew Ha Ha Comedy Club performs on Thursday at 9p, Friday and Saturday at 7p and 10p. You can enjoy a DJ on Thursday through Saturday without a cover. There is also a large upscale pool room, outdoor beer garden and many function rooms.
A venture of the East Coast Dog restaurant, The Hartford Room is a thriving entertainment venue. The state-of-the-art sound system makes it a good concert space with regular live gigs from international as well as local artists being played here. A non-profit, professional theater company housed in the historic circa 1927 Art Deco building on Pearl Street in downtown Hartford.
