A wide variety of seafood is served, including wild-caught, Hawaiian, sesame-crusted yellowfin tuna; smoked salmon in a goat-cheese omelet; or lobster ravioli with scallops and shrimp. Carnivores may lean towards veal meatloaf with shiitake mushrooms and onion gravy, or Steak Oscar garnished with crab, shrimp and green beans. Vegetarians can enjoy four-cheese Eggplant Stacks or a Mediterranean Salad with artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives. The Captain's Club is a sports bar and restaurant located right next to Classic Stadium, home of the Class-A Cleveland Indians farm club, the Lake County Captains. Its menu has a wide variety of American food, including appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrées, pizza, and sides. Entrées include Fish & Chips, Sesame Chicken, and a 12-ounce Strip Steak. Vegetarians won't have many options on the menu directly, but do have pizza options, the Captain's House Salad, or a variety of appetizers and sides. It's always nice to find an inexpensive Indian lunch buffet. The Maharaja Madras Café offers just that, with a variety of food from the north and south of the Indian sub-continent. It's also conveniently located across from the Richmond Mall. Vegetarians should be particularly happy with the selection, and chefs are willing to accommodate vegans. Omnivores should be sure to sample their butter chicken or a variety of lamb dishes. North Collinwood's Grovewood Tavern and Wine Bar sounds and looks much less ambitious than it is. Behind its unassuming exterior is an upscale restaurant with a creative menu drawing inspiration from all over the world. Entrées include Japanese-style yakitori—barbecued meat over sesame noodles—Moroccan mahi-mahi, meat-lovers lasagna, or shrimp & steak. Vegetarians can partake in fresh-made portobello ravioli or a mini brie salad. The "Wine" part of the Grovewood's title is also taken seriously, with over a hundred different wines to choose from. This venue is located inside the Holiday Inn, which offers garden patio outdoor dining in good weather. House specialties include Veal Parmigiana, Eggplant Marinara, Tripe, and Rosemary Roasted Chicken. They also offer a variety of brick-oven pizzas (like Margherita, Bianco, and Con Pollo), fish dishes (like Frutta Di Mare- shrimp, baby clams and fresh mussels sautéed in a marinara or a white wine sauce over linguine), and meats (like Filet Mignon and Beef Braciola). During their breakfast and lunch hours, guests can order omelets, cinnamon swirl french toast, salads, and sandwiches in addition to the more traditional Italian fare. They offer a full bar and a variety of handmade desserts. The cocktail lounge stays open later with a smaller menu. The Beachland Ballroom promises food as good as the music here. The Beachland Tavern also, like the ballroom is well-known for its sandwiches. The menu though limited and features the sumptuous burgers, burritos, nachos, besides the famous sandwiches. Special brunch is offered every Sunday featuring egg preparations, 'fruit cobbler' and 'breakfast polenta'. From some days in the week takeaway is available at 'The Supper Club'. The Tavern sometimes doubles as a performance venue.
One of Cleveland's well-known entertainment venues, The Beachland Ballroom & Tavern has won accolades as a premium events venue and for its food. A limited menu featuring a mix of American and Mexican dishes is available at the here. The quality of music is as good as the food. Local bands as well as popular bands play here. The venue also has a shop where you can buy Beachland Ballroom & Tavern merchandise.
The drinks will have you hooked and the sushi will reel you into this Japanese restaurant. The funky underwater motif inside compliments such items on the menu as the Bruce Lee roll, with the more adventurous enjoying the Eel maki roll. The outdoor seating is especially popular on hot summer nights. This eclectic eatery also offers all-you-can-eat sushi on Tuesday nights.
This classic diner's specialty is its all-day breakfast. Don't miss their eggs benedict or any of their omelets! The atmosphere is cozy, nostalgic, and attracts a variety of local characters. Café 56 gets its name from its menu, offering 56 different options. The restaurant is most famous for its salads, which comprise the bulk of the menu. Options range from conventional salads like the Oriental (with mandarin oranges, noodles, and chicken) and the Julius Caesar, to more playful fare like the Gump Salad (with all different kinds of shrimp) or the Flank Sinatra (with flank steak, mozzarella, tomato, olives, cucumbers, and onions). The goofiness extends to Café 56's wraps, with the Apprentice Wrap's fired-red peppers, shard cheddar, and chicken slices, or the Bill & Hillary Chicken Wrap. Tandoor cooking began in 10th century ACE after the Persians arrived in India. It is done in a clay, dome-shaped oven that reaches 750 degrees. Thai Orchid fires up its Tandoor style, serving up specialties like their Tandoori Salmon, Tandoori Vegetable Grill, and Pal Kebab (lamb). Curry dishes include butter chicken, garlic shrimp, and Boti Kebab Masala (lamb with onions, bell peppers and spices). To make sure everyone is satisfied, they also offer a variety of vegetarian options such as Palak Aloo (potatoes and spinach), Gobi Masala (cauliflower), and Chana Pindi (chick peas and tomatoes).
