Sam's All American Sports Bar has been voted "Best Sports Bar" in Nashville seven times by the Nashville Scene Magazine, and they know what they're talking about. With two locations, one in Hillsboro Village and one in Hendersonville, all of Nashville has an opportunity to enjoy a game at Sam's. Unlike many chain restaurants and bars, Sam's puts just as much emphasis on their food as they do on the big game. The pizzas are handcrafted and creative and the burgers are juicy and delicious, but nobody really goes to Sam's just for the food, as there are plenty of other options in the area. Check out their website for Happy Hour specials and events. You'll be sure to have a great time at Sam's. -Lynn-nore Chittom

This fabulous local coffee shop offers guests a wide variety of fresh, flavorful coffees and treats in an environment inspired by the artwork and passions of former University of Memphis art professor, Frank Govan, a deceased relative of the owners of this shop. Traditional country music, delectable food and chilled beers are a regular offering at the Swingin' Doors Saloon. The place is a haunt for groups of friends who wish to spend an evening filled with fun and good music. Their are two seating areas, the one upstairs is pretty private and perfect for a date-night. The downstairs seating occupies the spacious bar and stage area which is graced by many country music artists. Their Catfish Basket comes highly recommended with some of the classic craft beers.
Opened by Richard Trest in 2005, Ri'chard's Louisiana Cafe serves up home-cooked food, a range of beverages and ales to diners. Known for its live music scene, musicians playing here are only allowed to perform originals as covers are strictly forbidden. No wonder this cafe has a strong base comprising die-hard music enthusiasts.
This place is all about sports. Whether you want to talk sports, watch sports or read sports, you will feel right at home. Seats at the bar are great for hanging out, but if you are interested in watching a game you should choose a seat near one of the big screens. Standard bar fare includes sandwiches and nachos, but the pride of the Scoreboard is the barbecue ribs. Plan on staying for the entire game if you order the ribs, as the portions are huge.
