The Huron and Manistee are two different national parks in the state of Michigan, combined for functional reasons. The park is home to innumerable lakes and rivulets, making it ideal for water sports like rafting, kayaking, fishing and swimming. It also boasts of hundreds of miles of hiking trails and wildlife like Kirtland's Warbler, a small songbird, which was nearly extinct a few decades ago. Many campgrounds are accessible throughout the park and in the winter, cross country skiing and snowmobiling is also available.
