Run by the Waco Performing Arts Company, this historic theatre, aside from the inherent good it offers by simply being preserved for posterity, is a venue in which the performing arts can offer productions of the highest quality, in order to enrich the cultural life of the community. Built in 1914 as a vaudeville theatre, the Hippodrome now hosts quality performances by both national and local groups, with shows that range from Classical Ballet to Broadway productions.

The Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco belongs to Baylor University and is the home stadium for its football team, the Baylor Bears. This stadium was built in 1950 and has a seating capacity of 50,000.
This complex is one of the largest indoor arenas in Texas. Livestock shows, karaoke sessions, Mutton Bustin and many other exciting events take place from time to time. The main event, of course, is the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo held every autumn. The multi-purpose air conditioned facility has a rodeo seating capacity of more than 6,000 with a space of 38,750 square feet of arena floor. Almost 9,000 can be accommodated during non-rodeo events. Lots of dust, grime, cowboys and their hats, but not in that order! High School Graduations, banquets and parties are also organized with prior arrangement. Ample parking is available.
This multipurpose facility is host to major fairs and other major events; it is also the home court for the hockey team, the Waco Wizards.
The roots of the Waco Civic Theatre reach back to the 1920s, and the group was further organized and consolidated in 1945, with help from the then head of the Baylor University Drama Department. The company presents five major productions each year that range from Shakespeare to Neil Simon.
The Waco Symphony Orchestra brings the best in orchestral music to central texas, with classical performances that often include world-renowned soloists as guest performers. In addition, there are special concert series, such as the Holiday Concerts, and the Sunday Sounds series that offers afternoon concerts at various Waco locations. Both the Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra and Choir promote the musical and cultural education of young people from the area, thus initiating them into the world of classical music and the arts.
The Carleen Bright Arboretum spread over 16 acres (0.06 square kilometers) includes 8 acres (0.03 square kilometers ) of botanical gardens. Scenic nature trails, a lush landscape with a pond, waterfall and rose garden; the Arboretum is a paradise for nature lovers. Visitors can also spot the official Woodway bird, the Cardinal here. Also, an amphitheater and a gazebo are located within the grounds. The beautiful gardens are a great venue to host wedding and parties.
