Focusing on the history of Spartanburg County, this museum contains numerous permanent collections including exhibits on Indians, an exhibit on Spanish explorer Juan Pardo, and exhibits on wars from the Revolution through World War II.
Three galleries contain exhibits by local, regional, and national artists that change every eight weeks at this regional museum that also contains a permanent collection of 20th century art. Workshops and classes for all ages in all areas of visual arts are available, as well as an art school, docent programs, art tours, and museum tours. A gift shop is also on site.
