Minidoka National Historic Site commemorates the Minidoka War Relocation Center where more than 9000 Japanese Americans were relocated to during World War II. The actual campsite comprised of over 500 buildings spread on 950 acres (384 hectares) of land in Jerome County, Idaho. In 2001, Bill Clinton established the site as a national monument. Except for a temporary exhibit and information about the relocation center, no other facilities are available on site.
