Housing the works of Arthur Roy Mitchell, the A. R. Mitchell Memorial Museum of Western Art is a great display and exhibit of Western style art in all its glory.
The Old Fire House No.1 Children's Museum is a museum just for kids. The exhibits are all made for the children to touch them and enjoy it. Which child wouldn't like to be in a fire house, complete with a red fire truck, a fire alarm, old jails cells and more. They are also allowed to dress up in costumes.
Trinidad History Museum is a large museum complex that peeps into the rich history of Trinidad. The museum has many spaces within that cater to different aspects of the past. The Baca House, the Bloom Mansion, the Santa Fe Trail Museum are some of the intriguing attractions here that cannot be missed. Built in 1870, the Baca House is named after the family that once lived here and has many furnishings and home accessories that speak about the contemporary lifestyle. The Bloom Mansion, a Victorian manor belonged to a banker and is ornamented with intricate wood carvings and a beautiful garden. There are many other gardens, galleries and museums here where you can find old paintings, photographs, heirlooms and memorabilia that is very admirable. You can buy books and souvenirs from the gift shop to take home memories.
Located at the Trinidad State Junior College Library, the Louden-Henritze Archaeology Museum showcases the pre-historic past and displays carvings and other relics found at excavations at different sites, as well as a number of important geological findings.
