This gigantic engine is located near the walking path across a petite river in Trinidad and can make for an enticing display for both you and your kids to check out. You can even gain insight into the history of trains in Colorado.
The Southern Colorado Coal Miners Memorial was set up in tribute to the exemplary coal miners of the region. The place is laden with bronze statues and interesting displays.
Situated in Downtown Trinidad, the Cimino Park is known among the locals for fountain-romping. There is also a lighted bocce ball court and a massive playground for practicing any type of recreational activity.
The First Christian Church in Trinidad is a monumental church in the district. It was constructed in 1922. It offers Sunday services, prayer meetings and events for the community. After more than eight decades since its construction, the exquisite brick building still stands stern, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
Frank G. Bloom House is located at Trinidad, Colorado, USA. This 19th-century building meant to serve as a personal house for Cattle baron and banker Frank Bloom and his wife Sarah. This mansion was built in 1882 C.E in the Late Victorian and Rococo Victorian style of architecture. This structure was added to the National Registrar of Historic Places on February 26, 1970.
Trinidad Lake State Park is a massive green patch overlooking the mountains of southern Colorado. Since the park is known for its lake, many of the locals are seen indulging in sports such as water skiing or windsurfing here. The park provides beautiful trails for hiking as well. Hunting and wildlife-spotting can also be done here.
Kit Carson Park is a local park in Trinidad that houses a spectacular bronze statue of Kit Carson. Apart from that, you can also find bike trails and a Victorian Bandshell here.
Ave Maria Shrine is situated on a small hill at Trinidad and is a place that you can visit for peace and serenity. The area of the shrine is lovely and exudes warmth. There is also a chapel here which can be visited only with prior scheduling.
Dodgeton Creek Brewing Company is a local microbrewery located in Trinidad. They have selected draft beers on tap and are absolutely exceptional. The owners are warm and will make you feel completely at home.
The Ludlow Tent Colony Site bears a testimony to the Ludlow Massacre in 1914. This property was incorporated in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
