    »Centennial Park Conservatory

    Located in Etobicoke, Toronto, the Centennial Park Conservatory has three greenhouses for cactus, tropical plants and seasonal blossoming plants. The first Sunday of November showcases the Japanese mum. The Christmas show that begins from the second Sunday of December displays poinsettias of varied colors. There are carollers, apple cider and cookies that add to the Christmas magic. The Spring Show exhibits the hyacinths, Easter lilies and tulips. This conservatory is currently maintained by the Toronto Parks and is open year round for the public.

    Developed by the students of horticulture of Humber College in 1977,  Humber College Arboretum is located behind its north campus. Spread across 250 acres (101 hectares), the beautiful arboretum is home to over 1700 types of animals and plants. The Humber Arboretum Centre for Urban Ecology offers various informative and educational programs for people of all ages.     »BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha

    Known for its magnificent architecture, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir at Toronto is a masterpiece in itself. A Hindu worship place, this temple was built over 18 months and encompasses a large area of 18 acres (7.28 hectares). Located in close proximity to Etobicoke, it open throughout the year, for worship and visits alike. Displaying a royal sense of architecture, it makes use of 24,000 pieces of hand-carved marble, Indian pink stone and Turkish limestone. Open for visits throughout the day, the temple also boasts of a haveli, or a cultural center, along with a Hindu heritage museum. Dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the temple has a beautiful idol, that is centrally located in the building.     »The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Building

    Completed in 1931, this building is the Grande Dame of Toronto's banking institutions. Designed by New York architects York and Sawyer, the 34-storied edifice casts a shadow of grandeur over the much larger structures that now dominate the city's Financial District. Located two blocks west of Yonge Street, this Romanesque building lends a sense of security to all who enter. The ground floor, with its banking rooms and grand lobbies, is decorated with wrought-iron detail and gilded moldings that offer a sense of part revenue and part reverence.
