Based on Charles Dickens' perennial classic novel of the same title, A Christmas Carol has become an iconic Christmas season tradition on stages all around he world. The story follows an ill-mannered miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is convinced to change his ways after three ghosts from Christmases past, present and future visit him on Christmas Eve. Many critically-acclaimed stage adaptations of Dickens' tale exist, including a monodrama adapted and performed by world-renowned actor Patrick Stewart and a musical.
Indiana State University is a public university based out of Terre Haute, Indiana that was founded in 1865. The Sycamores are the athletic teams that compete for the university in the NCAA's Division I. During the athletic department's formative years, its teams were known as the "Fighting Teachers," but in 1954 the teams changed their names to the Sycamores, a nod to the abundance of sycamore trees in the Wabash River Valley where the university islocated.
