»Kit Carson Park

The Kit Carson Park and Cemetery is a place that was built to pay tribute to the famous Christopher Houston "Kit" Carson. The 150-year old cemetery is where the great frontiersman was buried along with his family. The park stretches over 19 acres, and every morning you will see joggers and walkers strolling here. There's a soccer field, a playground and baseball fields which are packed with families and children on a picnic. The Taos Pueblo is the ancient dwelling place of the Pueblo people. Estimated to be around 1000 years old, the Taos Pueblo was an important trading location for the native peoples and the surrounding area.
