Every February, the state celebrates its "bests" from needlework to hogs at the fair, on this 325-acre site not far from Busch Gardens. Other events are scheduled over the year but February's the highlight for agriculture and crafts fans. Named one of the top 100 events in the nation by the American Business Association, the Florida State Fair features plenty of rides and the grounds are landscaped and dotted with lakes. Activities vary through seasons - both big and small - from sporting event to exhibitions, trade shows, banquets, conferences and weddings.
Ice Sports Forum is the exclusive training center for Tampa Bay Lightning. This ice sport forum hosts several NHL teams visiting Tampa Bay. This ice sports facility consists of couple NHLE regulation ice skating rinks used by USA Hockey matches and also figure skating matches. Apart from ice sports, Ice Sports Forum also features a wonderful cutting-edge laser tag sporting area equipped to host 30 players at a single time.

Designed for kids, both young and old, Congo River is a cool place where you play miniature golf in view of a waterfall, feed the gators and play a variety of games in the arcade. Located near Busch Gardens, this is a great place to while away an afternoon or spent a couple of hours enjoying a few laughs at the mini-golf course. After sinking that last hole-in-one, stop by Mel's Hot Dogs, just a short drive down Busch, for what may be the greatest hot dog in town.
This solid public layout, at par 72 and 5922 yards from the middle tees, is just what you'd expect from a good public course. The holes aren't terribly long and the course will yield a good score if played with any precision at all. There is sand, and some water, but the hazards aren't confrontational. Rogers Park Golf Course's greens are reasonably flat and the course is normally in decent shape for a public track. This is a public golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.

The little ones can let loose on the playground structure and the picnic tables and barbecue's are perfect for a summer gathering. A nature center informs visitors on the local flora and fauna along with the extensive hiking trail information.
More than 450 activities await you at this non-profit facility dedicated to promoting a better understanding of science and technology. The Saunders Planetarium shows you the stars. Step inside the Gulf Coast Hurricane exhibit for a blast of tropical nightmare. At the IMAX Dome Theatre, the world is bigger than life, filled with odd sights and sounds on a huge screen. Souvenirs ranging from totes and T-shirts to puzzles and posters are available at the Science Store. For refreshment, the MOSI Café offers pizzas, salads and sandwiches.
If you choose to play the back tees at this par-71 course (6809 yards), you are in for a battle. The course, designed by William F Mitchell, winds through a former swamp basin, making it visually interesting as well as a stern test. The difficulty eases substantially as one moves forward on the tee box to the gold (6201 yards). Tees and greens are elevated, and a number of traps join the swamp to gobble errant shots. There are two long par-4s, but the rest of the holes are average in length. University of South Florida Golf Course is a public golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.
Sundome is a multi-purpose sports facility at the University of South Florida and has a seating capacity of up to 11,324 sports fans. It was constructed in 1981 and music concerts of the likes of Carlos Santana, U2, the all time favorite Madonna, the ever melodious Elton John, soul full Sting, The Beatles Ringo Starr and Jay-Z all took place in the Sports facility. The stadium boasts of holding approximately 300 events annually.
The University of South Florida Recreation Center is a popular place among students of the university and other fitness freaks. The center has a gym, equipped with excellent machines and fitness equipment, including around 30 cardiovascular machines. There are facilities for indoor rock climbing, basketball, karate, racquetball, volleyball, aerobics and dance at versatile centre. It is a good place for students looking for a quick workout or indulging in a sport. The hours and schedules for all the facilities are variable.
