Since 1935, Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park has been providing, picnickers, kayakers and other recreation seekers, a wonderful place to spend their time at. The gardens were first planted by Alfred B. and Louise Maclay and now there are a number of parks that come under the Maclay park banner. The parks are great for some outdoor wilderness adventures, picnics, hiking, cycling, walking, swimming and more. The park has nature trails to let you explore, lakes like Lake Overstreet and the flourishing flora and fauna. Altogether, the parks spread over 1,076 acres of land. If you plan an overnight trip, the parks have lodges, camping grounds and other accommodation as well. The parks also have a number of activities to indulge in like the events, the ranger programs, contests and more.
