Right Off The Batt Pottery sells beautiful, yet durable, stoneware pottery. The iron oxide used, colors the product a red that mimics the natural coloring of Prince Edward Island's soil and cliffs. Pieces that brandish the Celtic knot design or Canadian maple leaf pattern make for amazing souvenirs that will last a lifetime. Plates, jugs, vases and platters come in a variety of colors including green, blue and red. All pieces are heated at a very high temperature in a kiln.
The Master's Pieces offers a wide variety of fabric goods. From tea cozies to table runners to eyeglass cases, the owner uses batik cottons to create dozens of unique, handcrafted goods. Located in Breadlbane, a vacation souvenir from this store can’t be found anywhere else.
Indian Art and Crafts of North America sells jewelry, moccasins, baskets and carvings. Contemporary tastes meet traditional native Canadian designs at this unique store where the products reflect the history and culture of Native Canadians. Many of the contributing artists are Mi'kmac and the store itself is one of the longest running, family-owned, native businesses in Atlantic Canada.
Victoria by the Sea is a welcome respite from the large hotels and noisy highways of the more tourist-trodden areas of the island. The Island Chocolates Company adds to a picturesque location with handmade Belgian chocolates. Coffee and tea beverages and baked goods are also served here. After a chocolate and a cappuccino have gotten you in the mood, be sure to visit the nearby antique shop, glass art studio or book store. Victoria by the Sea is a perfect place to spend a lazy summer afternoon by the sea.
