The 2,400 foot slope winds all the way down Howelsen Hill and offers a thrilling experience for the whole family to enjoy. When Wallace “Buddy” Werner, an Olympic skier died in an avalanche, the town where he grew up, Steamboat Springs honored his memory by constructing the library in his name. Designer Tor Westergaard's original construction has been vastly modified over the years to make room for the growing needs of the town. The library hosts local events and is an important cultural institution. The in house cafe is a great place to relax with a book, while complimentary WIFi makes it a great spot to catch up on some work.

The Strawberry Park Hot Springs are a series of natural mineral springs that remain a steady temperature of 101 to 105 degrees no matter the outside temperature. The springs are a popular attraction for visitors, who can relax and unwind in the natural pools even in the height of winter. Watsu and table massage cabins are available for rent.
