Ely started his career in the seminal country-folk band The Flatlanders and has since released a string of well-received albums that explore everything from rock to honky-tonk. In his long and varied career, one constant has been the skillful consistency of both his performances and original compositions.

Gaelic Storm is a Celtic rock band that formed in 1996 outside of Los Angeles in the beach community of Santa Monica. The five-piece group utilizes traditional Scottish and Irish instruments including bagpipes, a fiddle and a tinwhistle, and adds it to a base of acoustic guitar-driven pub rock. As is the case with a lot of Celtic music, the rhythms are lively, dance-friendly and probably best enjoyed while swilling a decent amount of beer or other alcoholic spirits. In 1997, members of Gaelic Storm appeared in the blockbuster film Titanic, as the ship's steerage band, launching itself into widespread notoriety just before the release of its 1998 self-titled debut album.

Catie Curtis is a singer/songwriter and musicians who is known for blending pop, rock, alternative folk and country music. Growing up in modest city of Saco, ME, Curtis moved to Boston after graduating from Brown University to be surrounded in the folk-rock scene of the New England area. After a performance at Bottom Line in New York City, she was signed to EMI Music and released her debut album Truth From Lies, in 1996. The following year, Curtis won the Best Album Award for her self-titled sophomore album from the Gay and Lesbian American Music Awards. Her albums are packed with compelling lyrics that speak of the harsh and beautiful sides of reality, making her textured alternative folk and country-rock music warm and easily relatable. Her 2011 album Stretch Limousine Fire, received much critical acclaim for its understated emotional power. Curtis founded "Aspire to Inspire" to fund the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, a foundation that gives guitars to aspiring musicians who cannot afford their own.

With an all-female lineup armed with a string instrument repertoire including a cello, mandolin, acoustic guitar and fiddle, the band owns a progressive bluegrass sound that is both technically sound and powered by heartfelt narratives. Della Mae released its debut album,I Built This Heart, in 2011, exhibiting an impressive balance of finesse and grit.
