Beginning at Zion Lodge, this landscaped trail is short stretch that loops the Grotto picnic area to Zion Lodge. Grotto Trail offers wonderful vistas and is an easy trek for everyone. It also has a trailhead which leads to many other trails such as the Kayenta Trail, Emerald Pools and more. This trail is often visited by hikers as it gives a good view of the canyons. Stretching across six miles (9.66 kilometers), it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Even if you are not an avid hiker, you will like this easygoing trail.
The Maynard and Edith Hamlin Dixon House and Studio were the dwellings of renowned and respected artists, Maynard Dixon and Edith Hamlin. The couple spent their summers in this abode in the midst of the scenic Mt Carmel. Maynard Dixon’s memorial is built at the burial spot of his ashes on the property. Open to visitors, guided tours of the studio as well as the home are on offer.
Located approximately 6 miles north of the city of Kanab, Moqui Cave is a sandstone erosion cave that extends to upto 61 meters and was built during the Pueblo period. Today, the cave comprises of collection of fossils and rocks, along with the display of dinosaur tracks and other ancient artifacts depicting the life of people during the Pueblo Era.
