Located to the south of Owen Sound, Grey Roots Museum and Archives highlights the history and culture of the Grey Roots County, it gets its name from. The history of this museum goes back to 1955, when it operated with a small collection, and a County Archives section was separately established in 2000 in the Glenelg Township Municipal Building. Both these were merged and opened to the public in 2004 as the Grey Roots Museum & Archives. The displays include artifacts, paintings, photographs, as well as a host of traveling exhibits.
