    Find surf, sand, sport and a social club here. Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club is the biggest surf club in Western Australia. The 600 plus members watch over the local beaches as well as field teams in inter-club and inter-state competitions. Full members patrol the beaches, train and take part in competitions. Juniors train and compete, while associate members take up support and administrative roles. Clubhouse facilities include showers, change rooms, gym, licensed bar, dining and function rooms and a surf side position looking across the Indian Ocean.

    »Joondalup Resort Golf Course

    Quarry, Dunes, Lakes, the names on this Robert Trent Jones Jr course say it all. On these three nines you will find classic Scots-style links with awesome bunkers, five massive quarries and water hazards to test the bravest golfer. The course is associated with the Joondalup Resort complex, with luxury facilities and a separate members lounge. Cart hire is included in green fees and soft-spike shoes are compulsory. Golf can be played all year in Perth, though rain can be expected June-September.

    The fast, tactical style of netball (similar to basketball but no dribbling) keeps it the most popular women's sport in Australia, and is bringing more and more men and boys to competitions. Grades from sub-junior to State League can be played in Perth, with the season lasting from April to September. Most adult grades (divisions one, two and under-17) play on Saturday afternoons.     Challenge Stadium is Perth's premier sports complex and home to the Western Australian Institute of Sport. Since its opening in 1982, the complex has been a regular fixture for major national and international events such as the National Basketball League games and FINA Swimming Championships.     »Climbers Association of Western Australia

    The association is the representative body of climbers in Western Australia. It facilitates climbing, rescue and rope work courses, and, organizes and promotes sport climbing championships. Members climb regularly on rock faces near Perth, north to the spectacular gorges of Kalbarri and down to the crags of the southwest capes. Social and training nights are organized in Perth's climbing gyms mid week. Members receive a quarterly magazine, discounts at climbing suppliers and gyms, and the benefits of group travel to crags.
