    »Sydpoolen

    Sydpoolen is a famous and unique weekend destination. Kids love the swimming pool, with its waves, currents, waterfall and slides. The pool offers face and body treatments, which also include mud and oil treatments. Jacuzzis, different kinds of saunas, hot rooms, sunbeds, and a sports hall are the other attractions. There is Pigge's Lagoon, an indoor water park designed specially for younger children, with a warm-water pool. Sydpoolen also has a restaurant and a bar.

    »Tom Tits Experiment

    Tom Tit's Experiment, an adventure in technology and science, is located in Södertälje but is well worth the trip. The displays are interactive and you can touch and turn as much as you want. There are huge halls packed with fun filled things, such as strange machines and pictures. There are exhibits about the human body and outer space and all its different constellations. For the younger children there is a puppet theatre.

    »Friluftsfrämjandet

    Established in 1892, Friluftsfrämjandet promotes outdoor activities all over Sweden. You can choose from their vast range of activities, which include skiing, canoeing as well as kayaking. It encourages Sweden to explore the wilderness and enjoy nature. Courses for amateurs in mountain biking, skiing and ice-skating have also been introduced.

    »Parkleken Gulsippan

    This modern playground has disabled access. It is a place where all children can move around, handle the playing equipment and participate in the games. Among other things, you will find a raised sandbox, an adventure fortress for games and exercise, indications for the visually impaired and a stable swing that older kids can use, too. The park has animals for the children to meet, including rabbits, hens and sheep.

    »Kulturpark Liljeholmen

    This is a cultural park that extends all the way from Vinterviken to Årstaviken - with many interesting stops along the way. You can walk on Rävudden, go for a swim in Trekanten and have a snack at Café Pladder. There is also a very special playground, located at Trekantsplan, close to Liljeholmen subway station. This is called Doft- och fruktlekparken (the Scent and Fruit Playground).

    »Långholmen

    Långholmen (a small island just outside Södermalm) is perfect for swimming. The island is full of cliffs, jetties, inlets and small bays. The beach has a beautiful, shallow jetty with a sandy beach and a lawn. Families with children get together to swim and have picnics on the grass. There are trees nearby, great for climbing and providing lots of different hiding places. Just getting there is like being in an Astrid Lindgren fairytale, passing the quaint houses and beautiful gardens.

    »Drakenbergsparken

    Located next to the Drakenberg residential area, this playground provides the ideal recreation venue for children. Apart from ordinary playing equipment you will also find an impressive snake Draken' (the Dragon) by artist Ulf Sucksdorff that is quite a popular ride for the children.

    »Eriksdalsbadet

    Located in the southern part of the Södermalm island in Stockholm, the Eriksdalsbadet is a large public swimming facility, touted to be the biggest in the city. A popular recreational facility for the local residents, the Eriksdalsbadet features a 25-meter (82-foot) swimming pool, a 50-meter (164-foot) lap pool, a jacuzzi, a fitness center, a water park and much more.     Here you will find a lot of climbing frames, swings and slides. The playground is supervised at all times, and in the daytime hot dog barbeques are organized. Come winter and there is a skating rink.

    The playground behind the tall Tax Authorities building on Södemalm is mostly known for its variety of swings. The playground is manned, and the fenced part is for the youngest ones. There is, however, a lot of space for picnics and the lawn is big enough for playing baseball or a friendly game of football.

    In summer, this Citizen House square is the ideal place to sit down with a cup of coffee and read a good book. There is a library, a public swimming pool, cinemas and the Söderhallarna shopping center located close to this place. Across the street is Björns Trädgård, a little park with an outdoor café and playground. During winter, the square is transformed into an ice-skating rink...so bring your skates along and go skating in the heart of Södermalm.
