Lillestrøm Kirke was devised by architects Dagfinn Morseth and Mads Wiel Gedde, and was built between 1933-1935 in ancient basilica style. The red-bricked church has some interesting handicrafts such as the altar-piece and the pulpit walls engraved with the figures of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Beautiful murals suspended on the north wall of the nave depicting six key events in the gospel are the highlights of the church's Easter celebrations. Guided tours are available to visit this lovely church.
