The Rush County Courthouse stands as a historical courthouse site in the Rushville city of the U.S. State of Indiana. The construction of the site dates back to 1896. The courthouse building is a brilliant structure and finely exemplifies the Romanesque and Richardsonian Romanesque styles of architecture. The courthouse has paved its way into the National Register of Historic Places. The office hours of the courthouse are 8:00a to 4:00p EST from Monday to Friday every week.
Located in the eventful Hancock County in Indiana, Greenfield was incorporated as a city in 1876, soon after which the accidental discovery of natural gas ushered in hectic industrial activity and employment. Present day Greenfield attracts visitors with its historic landmarks, heritage streets and a very pulsating cultural calendar. The best time to visit is October during the Riley Festival which sees color, food, dance, music and art.
Replacing former locations, the current Decatur County Courthouse was constructed in 1874. This courthouse is popular owing to the political campaigns that are initiated from here; Robert Kennedy has also visited the premises in 1968. Apart from that, the tree located atop the courthouse is another attraction that draws tourists here.
