Prong is a heavy metal band that emerged out of New York City's thrash metal scene during the early 1990s. With a minimalist, urban take on the otherwise abrasive genre, the band dropped its first album,Force Fed, in 1988 with Southern Record before signing with Epic Records and releasing its debut major label offering, 1990's Beg to Differ. Throughout the years, Prong has incorporated elements of hardcore punk and electronic music into its sound while staying true to its thrash metal roots on albums such as 2012's Carved Into Stone.

    Coheed and Cambria

The New York-based band Coheed and Cambria came together in 1995 to play progressive alternative rock. With a distinct creative direction, the band only releases concept albums that tell the ongoing science fiction story called The Armory Wars. Starting with the band's 2002 debut studio album The Second Stage Turbine Blade, front man Claudio Sanchez has penned all of Coheed and Cambria's lyrics, and all of his material for the band has been transcribed into a novel and a series of comic books. While the band offered a melodic post hardcore sound on its earlier work, it shifted to more of a progressive, metal-inspired sound on Good Apollo, I'm Burning IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. The 2005 album is arguably Coheed and Cambria's most successful album, and it set the tone for the band's subsequent work, including The Afterman: Ascension and The Afterman: Descension, from 2012 and 2013 respectively.

See the sparks fly when a Baptist church stuck in its ways starts considering a highly qualified but decidedly female candidate as its new pastor in the thought-provoking drama "Women in the Pit". Mount Zion Baptist Church hasn't had a proper pastor in six years and under the poor leadership of its elders and deacons, membership is plummeting. So the head honchos put the job on the market, but things get hairy when the best applicant to emerge winds up being the Rev. E.R. George, a devout, fiercely intelligent religious figure who also happens to be a woman. Contemporary and traditional Biblical arguments ensue as churchgoers take both sides of the fence, and the Rev. George's troubled daughter finds herself caught in the middle.
