The Jaycees Fairgounds at Huntsville serve as the official venue for the Northeast Alabama State Fair, since its inception in 1962. The grounds were a provision made by the Jaycees for the Jaycee County Fair, now known as the Northeast Alabama State Fair. The fairgrounds have been developed over the period and they now boast sound technological support and other such facilities.
T.M. Elmore Gymnasium in Alabama A & M University is home to the basketball team of Bulldogs. It is the venue of the home matches of the men's basketball and women's volleyball and basketball games. The center is open daily except major holidays. The admission price includes a trip to the nearby Marshall Space Flight Center, where you can watch the construction of NASA's new space station.
A liberal arts college, Sewanee: The University of the South is owned by southern dioceses of the Episcopal Church. This coeducational college has many excellent facilities for its students to avail, among which extracurriculars are rather significant. The Lake Cheston Amphitheater is an outdoor performance space where many of the college's cultural activities take place. The institution's annual music festival, Sewaneroo, is held here.

This Gadsden State Community College performing arts center is host to a variety of events and performances throughout the year. Having undergone a renovation in 2011, the facility features state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
Be it music, arts or food, The Chattanooga Market will have some of the very best on offer. The market is a non-profit farmers' market that functions every Sunday, from April to December. It is held at the open-air First Tennessee Pavilion, and is known to attract large crowds every weekend. Besides promoting local farming and arts and crafts, the market also aims to promote community events, and does so by inviting bands to perform live every weekend.
The First Tennessee Pavilion is located adjacent to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium. The open-air pavilion is home to the Chattanooga Market, every Sunday from Spring through Summer as well as other major festivals and events. In addition to the markets and festivals, the pavilion is a popular spot for tailgating before football games at Finley Stadium.
