It is a state park on Sand Mountain in the state of Alabama. It is a secluded park spreading across 2000 acres (809 hectares) and sits in a natural pocket between chains of mountains in the Appalachian range. The park has a picnic area, campground with tables, grills, shelters, a playground, hiking trails, fishing and more. It is named after William Buck Berry, who is said to have lived in a cave there with his father for conscription during the Civil War.
Lake Guntersville State Park is a comprehensive park situated on the banks of the Tennessee River. Overlooking the expansive Guntersville Lake, it spans over 6000 acres (2400 hectares) of land.
