This club was once a home, a secondary school and a place where some Korean immigrants used to make confectionery goods clandestinely. The moniker comes from Iggy Pop, he gave the name to emphasize that this was the best place to have fun in the city. Iggy's band even closed the doors to the Funhouse for seven hours to record an album that lasted 36 minutes, and the album was aptly called "Funhouse." Despite this bit of history, the club presents a varied style of rock that refuses generic labels, not just punk or indie.
