»Route 66 Auto Museum

If the gleam of chrome and the curves of a classic car are what get your heart racing then the Route 66 Auto Museum is just the place for you. Although modest in size and stature, this museum is home to over 30 lovingly restored classic and vintage cars displayed alongside Route 66 collectibles and memorabilia. The museum was started by local garage owner and classic car enthusiast James Bozo Cordova whose dream came to life in 1999 when the museum first opened. Since then the museum has come to be a popular attraction along the infamous Route 66. Apart from the fabulous displays and exhibits, the museum also boasts a small snack bar and a shop stocked with souvenirs, gifts and car parts. Bozo's garage continues to restore classic and vintage cars for himself and all those who are interested, as well offering regular garage services to those in need. While it may be hard to believe, a number of the cars on display are actually for sale, so if you are not planning to make a purchase then be sure to keep your wallet out of reach because you'll definitely be tempted to splurge on a new set of wheels.

»Blue Hole

This stunning natural formation was once used as an artesian well and later as a fish hatchery before becoming one of the state's most popular scuba diving destinations. Although only 80 feet in diameter at the surface, its bell shape means that it is much wider at its base. Besides its rather unexpected location what makes this pool truly special is the remarkable clarity of its sparkling blue waters and the fact that it remain at a constant temperature of around 61 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celcius) throughout the year. Whether you choose to dive to the bottom, swim around the surface or simply sit by the shore, you will find it hard to resist the alluring pull of this starling beauty in such an unexpected place. A diving permit is required for all who would like to explore the pool's mysterious depths. The permit can be procured at the visitor center at the pool, along with equipment, tank refills and other scuba gear. Warm rooms and hot showers are available as well.
