Two beautiful 18 hole golf courses are open to the public at this golf club. One is a 6,400 yard par 72 course and the other is a 4,300 yard par 63 course. There is also a driving range, putting greens, two pro shops, and a large clubhouse.
The Jack London State Historic Park is a beautiful site that consists of a land of 47.5 acres. One can discover the beautiful trails, picnic sites, ancient stone barns, and the Happy Walls museum. The park also includes the burial site of London, ruins of the house, and most of the things of London. This place is called the National Historic Landmark.
A golf institution since 1928, the Sonoma Golf Club has a profound history. Set on 177 acres (71.6 hectares) of lush greens, this course is excellent. The diversity and challenges in the form of hills, bunkers, creeks on the course, make every game an exciting one, even for the most seasoned of golfers. Important events like the PGA Championships Tour and other competitions take place on these grounds. The club has also hosted the prestigious Charles Schwab Cup Championship. After a grueling game, guests can unwind at the clubhouse equipped with facilities like a spa, a steam room and a massage center. A tennis court and swimming pool are also available for your recreation.
A short trail leads to a wide beach, known locally as "Mom's Beach," that is perfect for swimming and enjoying the scenery at this place. Fishing is excellent but challenging and it is a great place to spend an enjoyable day. No lifeguards on duty and it is open from sunrise to sunset.
This unassuming but adequate golf facility in Calistoga is located on the northeast side of the Napa County Fairgrounds. The nine-hole, par 34-course is simple with immaculate greens and a challenging course. But it doesn't offer any fancy frills or thrills like the more resort-like courses in the Napa Valley. Mount St. Helena Golf Course is ideal for the golfer who wants a good game at a good price. Opens daily at 7a.
The name "old faithful" is most closely associated with the Yellowstone Park geyser, but it is actually used to describe any geyser that erupts on a regular schedule. Napa Valley's version is a blast! Boiling hot water shoots 60 feet (18.3 meters) into the crystal blue sky, while spectators gather casually round and gasp every 30 minutes or so. Driving by, you might mistake this for a tourist trap, a little worn down, more than a little tacky from the outside; but rest assured, it really is worth the price of admission. Don't miss the poor little fainting goats on the side, and the fascinating exhibit on geyser eruptions and earthquake predictions. Seek out owner Olga Kolbek; she's a gold mine of fascinating local lore.
Cerro Pampa Polo Club does not boast of an excellent infrastructure. But this club is a popular spot for polo enthusiasts. It has a fully pitched Bermuda Grass Polo Field, exercise track and pastures for the horses and players. It hosts the annual Oyster Cup Tournament. Riding and polo seasons are from April to October.
A nine hole golf course, Healdsburg Golf course at Tayman Park, is a beautiful place to enjoy a game amidst the scenic view of the valley. The golf course has a training center wherein amateurs can sharpen their golfing skills. They also merchandise in golf equipments, apparels and other golfing articles offering a variety in the same. Apart from golfing, the course caters to business meetings, weddings and banquets—also a full bar is located within the course where one can enjoy some of the delicious Sonoma and Napa Wines.
