Temple Theatre is located at Sanford, North Carolina. It was built by Mr. Robert Ingram in the year 1925 C.E. The theater was built in the Colonial Revival style of architecture with richly painted walls and ornate ceiling. There is also an old-fashioned orchestra pit which is currently used by musicians and can also be converted into a large stage area. The temple is a cultural center and there are cultural shows and festivals throughout the year.
House in the Horseshoe was built in 1772 in a Coastal lowlands style of architecture. This historic home was the battleground of the clash between loyalists and patriot militiamen, and is now a museum. One of the most popular draws here is the re-enactment of revolutionary war battles that takes place annually.
This historic courthouse is an integral part of the historical heritage of Pittsboro town. Though it was damaged owing to fire in 2010, the courthouse was completely restored and renovated. One of its room houses the Chatham Historical Museum that chronicles the history of Chatham.
The Samuel Bartley Holleman House is a monumental home situated in the New Hill vicinity in North Carolina. It was built in 1913. The home is predominantly a two-and-a-half story building and is brilliantly structured. It stands as a fine model of the Queen Anne and the Colonial Revival styles of architecture. The home spans over a land area of 1.5 acres (0.61 hectares). It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Located in Lillington, North Carolina, Summerville Presbyterian Church and Cemetery was first constructed in 1811. Being destroyed by lightning, it was rebuilt in 1848. The architectural design of the church makes it worth the visit. Added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1985, this attraction should not be missed.

Southern Pines Brewing Co., located on Air Tool Drive distributes its brews to all of the central part of North Carolina. The also brew a number of crafty artisanal beers. They also have a taproom for tastings.
North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame is a museum which showcases the rich literary heritage of the state. Along with myriad displays of the different aspects of the literary people of the area, they also have several programs for adult and child writers of the area.
