The nephew of founding member and drummer of The Allman Brothers Brothers, Derek Trucks was taught the guitar at a young age and by the time he was 9 years old he was considered a child prodigy. A few years after meeting Susan Tedeschi, an accomplished blues guitarist in her own right, the two decided to get married and start a band called the Tedeschi Trucks Band. The group was founded in 2010 and features a revolving cast of respected musicians, but Tedeschi and Trucks are always the two constant core members. The band plays an eclectic style of blues rock and because the band boasts the inclusion of two extremely talented guitarists in its lineup, many six-string aficionados consider the group to be one of the better touring outfits on the road today.

Joe Nichols is a country music singer/songwriter and guitarist who uses both traditional and modern country elements to craft his music. His accessible style of songwriting earned him the attention of Interscope Records, who signed Nichols and released his eponymous debut album in 1996. Though the album flopped and he was dropped from the independent label, he eventually settled with Universal South Records for the release of his sophomore effort, Man with a Memory, in 2002. The LP earned widespread critical acclaim, including three Grammy Award Nominations, and kicked off what would become a successful decade for Nichols. He released his seventh studio album, It's All Good, in 2011.

Marc Cohn

Salina, KS 67401
Marc Cohn is an American singer/songwriter known for his piano playing and emotive adult-contemporary ballads. Signed by Atlantic Records in 1989, the Cleveland-based musician proceeded to release an eponymous debut LP in 1991 that won him hits such as "Walking in Memphis" and "True Companion," in addition to a Grammy award for Best New Artist. Cohn is a singer/songwriter in the classic, unflashy mold that launched plenty of careers throughout the 1970s and beyond. His songs combine the introspective, gentle feel of vintage Van Morrison with a touch of the gruff, self-assured intonation of songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle. In 2005, Cohn had a brush with tragedy when he was shot during an attempted carjacking. Luckily, the bullet only grazed his head and caused no serious damage, allowing him to continue his run as one of America's more valued folk-rock songwriters.
