»Kate

November 28, 2014 8:00 PM

AFI named her the greatest female star in Hollywood history. Overcoming her early labeling as "box office poison," Katharine Hepburn went toe-to-toe with such screen icons as Humphrey Bogart, James Stewart and Cary Grant on her way to win four Oscars. Her fierce independence made her a feminist icon. She dated Howard Hughes and had a secret 26-year affair with Spencer Tracy. Now, an unseen side of this legend comes to life in the one-woman play "Kate", by acclaimed playwright Rick Foster ("Vivien"). Set on New Year's Eve 1999, Hepburn reflects on her life and loves as she ponders, at age 92, what the future holds. Filled with fond memories while also delving into uncharted emotional waters, "Kate" is a revealing portrait of a larger-than-life character.

»Brad Williams

November 28, 2014 8:00 PM

Brad Williams is a comedian and actor from Orange County, California who got his start after a chance encounter with fellow comedian Carlos Mencia. While attending one of Mencia's comedy shows, he was invited onstage and impressed the veteran funny man with his quick jokes and ability to laugh at himself. Williams was subsequently invited to join Mencia on tour as an opening act and the two comedians have been touring together ever since. Using comedy as a way to make light of the everyday challenges and encounters he faces, William largely focuses on dwarfism in his brand of comedy. He released his debut full-length album Coming Up Short, in 2011 and shortly after began hosting a podcast called About Last Night with Adam Ray.

What could be more "loverly" than joining the Davis Musical Theatre Company for its production of "My Fair Lady"? With such memorable numbers as "The Rain in Spain," "I Could Have Danced All Night," and "On the Street Where You Live," it's no wonder everyone -- not just Henry Higgins -- falls in love with darling diamond in the rough Eliza Doolittle. The classic musical is based on George Bernard Shaw's iconic play, "Pygmalion", with book, music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe. This rendition is directed by Steve Isaacson and choreographed by Ron Cisneros, with musical direction by David Chan.
