The Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church, also known as Boatyard Presbyterian Church, is said to be one of the oldest churches in the city of Kingsport. This beautiful white building stands on three acres (1.2 hectares) of land, the steps that lead to the entrance is simple and the tower on the top is elegant. The surrounding greenery adds to its beauty. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

»East Tennessee State University Memorial Center

The ETSU Memorial Center is a gleaming white domed structure on the East Tennessee University campus. The center, known ironically as the "Mini-Dome," is a 8,539-seat multi-purpose arena that changes its dimensions according to the sports seasons. Inside the center there is a basketball court floor, Gentry Field, two auxiliary basketball courts, a six-lane, 280-meter track, six racquetball and handball courts, six tennis courts, a rifle range, two gymnasiums, a strength training facility, several locker rooms and a physical education research laboratory. The arena hosted an NBA preseason game in 1994, when it stretched its already generous proportions to fit more than 14,000 spectators.
