The Caribou and Targhee National Forests were merged to form the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. The forest spans across three states, namely Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. The Jedediah Smith Wilderness and Winegar Hole Wilderness are marked as wilderness areas. The Jedediah Smith Wilderness is famed for its limestone formations, while the Winegar Hole Wilderness was designated to guard the habitat of the grizzly bear. Camping, fishing, tubing or hiking; the waterfalls, woods and creeks of the Forest present countless avenues for a memorable trip.
