Huron is a lightship that served the Great Lakes of Michigan for 50 years till 1970, after which it was turned into a museum ship. Bestowed with honors like being on the National Register of Historic Places and a National Historic Landmark among many others, the ship is well maintained and is a working ship, capable of serving even today. It was the last ship to serve the Great Lakes and now belongs to the City of Port Huron.
