Wild Rose provides a variety of horseback riding opportunities. The stables are located just 12 miles north of the Kansas City International Airport. They offer scenic one-hour guided trail rides that travel across creeks, in the woods, and through open fields. There are also horseback lessons, boarding, training, and stallion service along with many other services and animals to see. Wild Rose offers an experience for people of every walk of life from families looking for a fun weekend get-away, for those looking to learn to ride, or experienced riders looking to expand their horse experience.
This open air pavilion is used for the farmer's market from October through May well as concerts and festivals. It is also available for community, corporate and private group rental.

The Springs Aquatic Center is one of many water parks scattered throughout Jackson County and across the border in Kansas. This one is located in south K.C., right near the airport and it offers three different zones, each one perfect for everyone in the family. The 'Leisure Pool' is where all the excitement happens, it has two water slides that plunge into a large pool below. The perfectly manicured sprawling golf courses with the tree-lined creeks are a delight for serious golfers. The golf course features 18 holes, with a practice bunker, a chipping area, two well manicured putting greens and a driving range. The club features golf leagues for both men and women and for the general public as well. The Clubhouse, with its Proshop, a Pub and a beautiful Banquet Room provides excellent facilities for holding wedding receptions & private parties.

The Snow Creek ski resort that is spread over 25 acres is a great ski area for the people and visitors. With a commanding view of the Kansas River, one can enjoy the great activities conducted every year. The greater Kansas City metro area which includes both Kansas and Missouri is filled with water parks. The Schlitterbahn happens to be in Kansas, but is popular throughout both states for fun in the sun during the sweltering, humid Midwest summers. The newest feature here is the aptly named Verrückt (roughly translated from German as "Insane"), it is a 600ft. slide that extends over two breathtaking drops while carrying four, very scared passengers on a raft! Despite this fearful ride, there are plenty of other rides for kids like 'Kinderhaven', great for small toddlers and 'Banzai Pipeline' for older, more experienced swimmers. Located in the Great Wolf Lodge, 38,000 square-foot water park tempts the kids and the parents to splash and play in water. The Fort Mackenzie, the interactive tree fort, comprising of bridges and suspension nets keep the kiddos busy for hours. A huge basket atop the fort dumps 1000 gallons of waters over it.
