»The Giving Tree Band

March 31, 2015 8:00 PM

Considered the most environmentally-friendly band in the country, The Giving Tree Band tours in a bio-diesel bus, donates 50% of its profits to green charities, uses handmade instruments from reclaimed and sustainable material, and its members are all vegetarians. The Chicago-based 8-piece obviously is committed to sustainability and this theme comes through in its folk-rock. Rooted in classic Americana, the band incorporates many traditional bluegrass instruments like banjos, mandolin and slide guitar. Formed by brothers Eric and Todd Fink in 2004, The Giving Tree Band has since gone on to attain the respect of a variety of music publications and audiences across the US.
