Founded in 1945, this society maintains nine acres of camellia plantings, as well as several specialty gardens and collections, and invites visitors to admire the 170 porcelain birds and flowers on display which were created in the studios of the late American artist, Edward Marshall Boehm.

This eye-catching edifice on Commerce Street was constructed after the city was named as the county seat, and to fulfill the larger space requirements of the court. The majestic building was constructed in the Classical Revival style of architecture and features a clock tower. Though there have been numerous additions to the structure since it was built in 1874, the stellar original features of the building have been well maintained.
Taylor Hall is located at Hawkinsville, Georgia. This building was constructed in 1825 and has Greek Revival and Plantation Plain style of architecture. It got added to the National Registrar of Historic Places in 1978.
This beautiful co educational institute called the Mercer University is a historical institue. This institue features twelve colleges and schools that include education, music, professional studies like law, medicine, nursing, etc. The institue nrolls several students all year round and moulds them from being an amateur into being a professional. The site is a great center of education and learning.
