Trevor Paglen is one of the artists featured in the exhibition Fractured Narratives: A Strategy to Engage. The art showcased in the exhibit leaves space for personal interpretations and a critical relaxation on the social, technological and psychological trends over the last ten years. These artists create through their work an opportunity for speculations and avoid providing simple explanations. The contemporary art inspires viewers to come to their own conclusions.

Lockwood De Forest (1850-1932) was an artist who was a well-traveled man and son of a wealthy family. His famous painting The Wreck has been exhibited many times, three times alone in 1880 - at The Century Association, the National Academy of Design in New York City and at the Louisville Industrial Exhibition in Kentucky. The Wreck thematizes life and death in a desert setting. This circle of life is timeless and the skill with which De Forest used his brush and commitment of colors makes the painting seem alive.

During this period, beauty and attention to design was evident everywhere, including in the illustrations of children's literature. The intention was to impress upon children an idea of how life should look. Lullaby and Goodnight - Children’s Literature from the Morse Collection exhibits, in addition to the work of the three famous authors, different glassware, ceramics and dolls from the same period.
