The Pretty Reckless initially rose out of New York Ctiy on the coattails of front woman Taylor Momsen's acting career. Recognizable for her leading role in the television series Gossip Girl, Momsen pulled the trigger on her music project in 2007, debuting a rebellious, post grunge aesthetic that stood out in stark contrast to the clean-cut character that American television audiences knew are as. Along with members of Paramore and Breaking Benjamin, she released The Pretty Reckless's 2010 debut album, Light Me Up, to widespread attention that had as much to do with her new leather-clad appearance as it did with the band's brash rock and roll sound.

Trevor Paglen is one of the artists featured in the exhibition Fractured Narratives: A Strategy to Engage. The art showcased in the exhibit leaves space for personal interpretations and a critical relaxation on the social, technological and psychological trends over the last ten years. These artists create through their work an opportunity for speculations and avoid providing simple explanations. The contemporary art inspires viewers to come to their own conclusions.

A large variety of different designs and styles are shown at this exhibition, which is divided into three time periods.
