The Stetson Hatters represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. The school is a member of the NCAA's Division I and competes in the Atlantic Sun conference. Stetson supports a wide variety of men's and women's sports programs, including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, rowing soccer and volleyball teams. The university's football team joined the Pioneer Football League in 2013.

Lockwood De Forest (1850-1932) was an artist who was a well-traveled man and son of a wealthy family. His famous painting The Wreck has been exhibited many times, three times alone in 1880 - at The Century Association, the National Academy of Design in New York City and at the Louisville Industrial Exhibition in Kentucky. The Wreck thematizes life and death in a desert setting. This circle of life is timeless and the skill with which De Forest used his brush and commitment of colors makes the painting seem alive.

»Lullaby and Goodnight - Children’s Literature from the Morse Collection

Kate Greenaway, Eulalie Osgood Grover and Mary Dow Brine were all authors of children's books from the early 1900s. During this period, beauty and attention to design was evident everywhere, including in the illustrations of children's literature. The intention was to impress upon children an idea of how life should look. Lullaby and Goodnight - Children’s Literature from the Morse Collection exhibits, in addition to the work of the three famous authors, different glassware, ceramics and dolls from the same period.

»Vignette: The Art of Fountain Pens

Vignette: The Art of Fountain Pens is an exhibition at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, that showcases about 100 years of different kinds of fountain pens. This nearly forgotten instrument to write and create with ink changed much between 1875 and 1975, not only in shape, material and nip, but in design and color as well. A large variety of different designs and styles are shown at this exhibition, which is divided into three time periods.

»George Catlin’s American Buffalo

George Catlin (1796-1872), an American painter, specialized in portraits and scenes of the daily lives of the American Indian tribes. He traveled a lot to document the culture of the different tribes, becoming one of the first persons of European descent to travel beyond the Mississippi River. 1830 George Catlin crossed the Great Plains no less than three times to immortalize 140 American Indian tribes through his art.

»The Taos Society of Artists

Taos, New Mexico has attracted many artists with its beauty and mixture of Tao Pueblo Indian and Hispanic culture. Out of this mixture, the first art colony in the American West arose. Local Taos artists Joseph Henry Sharp, Bert Geer Phillips, Oscar E. Berninghaus, W. Herbert Dunton, E. Irving Couse and Ernest Blumenschein formed this society to be able to market their paintings in the East as well as locally. Many other artists joined the Taos Society of Artists since its foundation in 1915 and they have now become one of the best known art colonies in America. The exhibition features a selection of artwork created over the decades by the society.
