The museum tells the story of the area's history and growth through exhibits of more than 3,000 artifacts. Special areas of interest are the doll collection, history of industrial technology, WWI and WWII, Civil War, pioneer household goods, and musical instruments.
This 1845 Trade Center stucco and plaster building houses vintage clothing, quilts, old toys, and furniture. There is a furnished log cabin, blacksmith shop, Indian teepee, and farm tool display.
Documenting all of the intercollegiate sports played by Auburn men and women down through the years, the museum shows people how athletic programs have contributed to Auburn's historical traditions. Recognizes some of America's most well known athletes with high-tech interactive exhibits, life-size talking dioramas and traditional displays.
Experience a simulated mission in the Challenger Learning Center while at this science center that also offers interactive, hands-on exhibits designed to sharpen science, math, and communication skills in children. Wonderful planetarium shows are also featured at this center.
