A monumental natural reserve site in the city of Olympia in Washington is the Woodard bay Natural Resources Conservation Area. The site was constructed and established in 1928. It occupies tremendous significance, and more so due to the fact that it served as a vital processing facility for the logging industry. At present, the site stands as an eloquent sanctuary for an array of birds, river otters, bald eagles, bats and much more. The site has also been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
