The Library Park Historic District is located in the vicinity of Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York. The district is comprised of seven architecturally vital structures as well as a war memorial monument and public park. Landmarks include the former Remington Art Museum and the Ogdensburg Public Library, to enlist a few. The library park is a highlight that houses the significant Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The Newell residence, Wheaton Residence, Houston Residence and Augsburg Residence are a few buildings that add glory to the district.
McConnell's Windmill is a historic structure built in 1825. The stone windmill became a part of the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is the only structure of its kind on the American part of the St. Lawrence Valley. The area around the windmill is a major attraction during the 4th July fireworks.
A local education facility, the Brockville Collegiate Institute is a public high school catering to approximately eight hundred students a year. Well known as the foremost train tunnel of the nation, The Brockville Railway Tunnel is a beautiful tunnel that is surely worth a visit. Though currently, visitors cannot explore it from inside, plans for re-opening it are underway.
Waddington Historic District is located at St. Lawrence County, New York. Featuring 11 contributing properties like St. Paul's Episcopal Church and Hepburn Library, this area was incorporated in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
