Belle Clair Speedway is located on the St. Clair County Fairgrounds in Belleville, IL. They race on Friday nights from March until October. They have a 1/5th mile high banked dirt oval that has some of the best entertainment for your dollar in the St. Louis area.
The Ainad Shriners Temple has been standing strong on the St. Louis Avenue since its opening in 1912. From its humble beginnings, the temple has grown to be an integral part of the spiritual and cultural life of the city's residents. The temple was originally built as a venue for the Masonic Fraternity meetings, but it has grown to be much more than that. Today, it is a venue for various cultural events of the city, including the Pageant of Progress. The historic 555 Washington building is a venue that is rented out for special events. This five-story structure has elaborate renaissance detailing and the entrance is on Washington Avenue. The building is a symbol of revival of Downtown, a grand old building with modern amenities is still in use. The 6-story atrium is located at the center of the building. This space can be customized to suit any event including weddings, fashion shows, exhibitions, performances and conferences.
