Sign on for a tour of fun sport fishing off the coast of Oceanside. Daily sport fishing, harbor excursions and sea life adventure cruises are available for individuals or groups. Between mid-December and March, whale-watching excursions are also offered. All boats and captains are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and are equipped with the most recent safety, navigation, communication and fish-source equipment. Rates start at USD25 per person for a half-day adventure.
While visiting the Oceanside area, it's expected that you will come down to see the ships at sea. But wouldn't you really rather be on one? Now you can. Even the least experienced skipper can rent a boat for an hour or a day. Whether your idea of wet and wild is a kayak, a Wave runner, a sailboat, a fishing skiff or a luxury yacht, this is where you can try your hand at the helm. Rates start at $10 per hour for single kayaks.
If you love sport fishing, then this is the place. With 50 guest slips and berthing for approximately 950 small craft, this spot is well-known among local fishermen. At this harbor fuel dock, supplies are on-hand for all of your fishing needs. Boat fuel, bait and ice are sold at this popular facility. In addition to fishing gear, a snack bar is on site for those mid-day breaks. No boat rentals are available.
Sportfishing holds a prominent spot in northern San Diego County and this location provides top-notch facilities for dedicated fishermen. The location offers a paved launch ramp, slips and boat fuel. While no rental watercraft are available, guests may purchase bait, groceries and ice on the premises. In addition, there are local restaurants and shops, all with a nautical theme. The launch ramp is free of charge, but some of the parking lots have a USD5 parking fee.
While visiting the North County coastal town of Carlsbad, water sports are the order of the day. What better way to learn the safe and professional way to kayak either through flat water or pounding surf? Owner and instructor Dan Carey offers rentals for those already skilled in kayaking, and also offers two-hour lessons for those just taking up the sport. All equipment is provided.

They tailor many of their nature walks to elementary students, but they also have classes about birds of prey for older kids and high school students. For those who would like to get the most out of the Buena Vista Audubon Society, there are various hikes and day camps for kids. For those who want to enjoy the nature center’s facilities, it offers taxidermies of various birds, fish and other local wildlife. Located in northern San Diego County, this public golf course spans 18 holes and 2,703 yards. The par-56 course is popular for novice and experienced golfers alike. Golfers may rent power carts and clubs on the premises. Also, a coffee shop and snack bar are located on site for golfers who want to take a short rest from the course.
Bring the entire family to this great spot for a day of pleasure. With 100 driving stations, everyone should be able to play at once. There is a great pro shop here, and you can even inquire about a few lessons to improve your swing. There is also a plastic-turf putting green for practicing your lighter swing. Be sure to call ahead for directions since it can be a little difficult to find this place. However, once you've found it, you will definitely be coming back!

At the Carlsbad Lagoon, tourists can enjoy wave-runners, kayaks, aqua cycles, and other types of aquatic craft close to the ocean without the waves. The Carlsbad Lagoon rents most of their equipment out by the hour, though they also rent their wave-runners, wakeboards, and water skis out by the half-hour. For those who would like to give the children in their lives a unique experience, the Carlsbad Lagoon offers week-long day camps throughout the summers.
